Objectives
The course is designed to develop the four language skills--speaking, listening, reading and writing-- in Korean. It covers the basic grammatical structures and vocabulary necessary for basic conversation, reading comprehension, and writing to have the students build a solid foundation for further study in the Korean language. The course also provides useful information concerning culture (where culture touches on language and communication) and everyday life in Korea. Speaking: Ability to maintain simple face-to-face conversations by asking and answering simple questions entirely in Korean. Listening: Ability to comprehend the learned materials. Writing: Ability to write simple sentences and expressions. Reading: Ability to comprehend simple texts.
