Production Concentration
This concentration emphasizes all aspects of crop production - nursery management, greenhouse flower and foliage production, and pest and disease management. Graduates will be prepared to manage an operation for the growing of horticultural crops. Students are strongly encouraged to minor in business, usually marketing management. The internship gives on-the-job experience beyond the classroom, further preparing the student with the background needed for a great career.
Design Concentration
This concentration emphasizes landscape design and landscape horticulture. Graduates will be prepared to design, install, and manage landscapes for residential and commercial clients. Students are strongly encouraged to take a minor in business, usually marketing management.
