The Bachelors of Science in Nursing program has a special sequence for the Vocational Nurse to achieve the BSN degree. This program builds on the basic education, skills, and experience of the practical nurse transitioning to the professional nursing role. Curriculum builds upon a foundation of biological, physical, and social sciences, which contribute to the science of nursing. The liberal arts components enhance the development of the intellectual, social, and cultural aspects of the professional nurse. Program content will focus on role transition, advanced clinical skills, and critical thinking. Graduates of the program will be eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses.
