Introduction
The biological science majors at Florida Tech offer challenging course work and dynamic fieldwork opportunities, giving tomorrow's researchers, physicians and educators the chance to make a difference today. Students explore local ecosystems, collaborate with faculty on innovative research and gain experience through a variety of engaging internships. Here, we live the life sciences. The marine biology option includes specialized courses in marine biology oceanography to provide the knowledge and skills for the study of marine life. Emphasis is on the diversity of marine organisms, their characteristics, inter-relationships and interactions with the marine environment. The program prepares students for employment or graduate work on subjects from marine microbes to mammals, and from molecular marine biology to ecology.
