Barton’s mass communications major offers pre-professional training that prepares you for entry-level positions in specific industries and for graduate school. The program features is area of concentration in Broadcast/Video Production.And because the area share many courses, completing two concentrations—and enhancing your marketability—is easy.
As a broadcast/video production student, you’ll learn about video production and broadcast journalism (including studio and remote television production) at WEDT, Wilson Educational Television, using the latest video technologies, including AVID editing software. The recently renovated control room includes a Broadcast Pix switcher, a 24-channel Mackie audio board, and a Matco Video Server. In addition to public affairs and news programs, students produce special programs and short dramatic films.
