The Mathematical and Statistical Computing interest area allows students to develop an understanding of, and practical experience in, various aspects of computing within the areas of mathematics and statistics. Students can take one or all of the courses in this interest area. These courses may be applied to your degree requirements or taken as electives.
The Mathematical and Statistical Computing interest area offers courses led by faculty who are experts in their fields. Students who may have had trepidations about taking quantitative courses in the past will master the ability to solve practical problems using appropriate theory and software.
