Mathematics Education prepares high school teachers to be both competent in their subject material and dedicated to their profession. It includes subject matter that includes a strong foundation in the basics of mathematics and extends to a level that gives the student a broad overview of the subject. Students are academically prepared to meet any high school classroom challenge. Students in this major also receive strong pedagogical training so that they are prepared to clearly communicate the subject matter to a student at all levels of high school abilities.
