To graduate with a degree in mathematics majors must have a grade-point average
of at least 2.0 in all mathematics courses, with at most one grade lower than
a C. This applies to those courses that have been taken at Adelphi and are in
fulfillment of degree requirements.

* MTH 142 Calculus and Analytic Geometry II
* MTH 243 Calculus III
* MTH 244 Introduction to Ordinary Differential Equations
* CSC 156 Discrete Structures
* MTH 253 Linear Algebra
* MTH 301 Introduction to Proofs and Abstract Reasoning
* Either
o CSC 160 A Fi rst Course in Computer Programming, or
o CSC 171 Introduction to Computer Programming<
* Either
o MTH 321 Geometry I, or
o MTH 322 Topics in Geometry
* MTH 361 Introduction to Probability Theory
* MTH 431 Analysis

* Two additional mathematics courses numbered above 144.
Students intending to go on to graduate work in mathematics are urged to take
MTH 290-295 Mathematics Honors Seminar.
This seminar is required of all students who wish to earn honors in mathematics.
