The BA in Mathematics provides a broad introduction to the subject. The requirements feature flexibility while providing an opportunity to explore one or more areas in greater depth or to co-major in other disciplines. The BS in Mathematics is a more rigorous program of study which prepares students for graduate study in mathematics and includes year-long sequences in algebra and analysis.
The BS in Applied Mathematics combines the rigor of a BS degree with an emphasis on topics in applied mathematics. It also prepares students for graduate study in Applied Mathematics and is appropriate for students interested in interdisciplinary graduate training in the sciences and engineering.
