The Bachelor of Arts in Musical Arts provides a degree in music in combination with another field of study.
There are two options for completion of requirements beyond music courses:
1. Students may fulfill the requirements of any second major EXCEPT those offered by the Music Department. (Note: This option will generally take more than eight semesters to complete.)
2. Students may add any Elective Minor EXCEPT the minor in applied music.
In addition to music classes, lessons, and ensembles, and courses required in the second major or minor, a musical arts major must take one music pedagogy class, two art classes (see requirements below), and a comprehensive oral exam in music.
