The Neuroscience major consists of science courses in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Psychology, plus the senior seminar and comprehensives. Neuroscience majors also often choose to do a senior honors thesis in the laboratory of one of the Neuroscience faculty. To major in Neuroscience, it's necessary to get started in the first year; we offer some typical course schedules of recent Neuroscience majors. Neuroscience has one of the highest workloads, by the way, of any major at Amherst!
