The accelerated second degree program in Nursing is designed for students who have earned a bachelor’s degree in another field. Participating students will matriculate and complete degree requirements of 55 hours in approximately 15 months. Entering students must meet all current nursing undergraduate admission requirements in addition to having a 3.0 GPA in the pre-requisite courses. Required science courses – to be completed prior to admission into the second degree program – are anatomy and physiology I and II (within the past 5 years) and microbiology. Students may apply while the science courses are in progress, but all must be completed before entering the BSN program in the science semester.
