The Department of Nursing offers a four year program leading to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. The nursing program of study is designed to prepare graduates with entry level nursing practice knowledge and skills upon which professional careers and additional study can be
built. The baccalaureate nursing program emphasizes professional nursing practice and leadership skills. Graduates are prepared to provide comprehensive nursing care for people in a variety of settings. The baccalaureate degree also provides the foundation for graduate education in nursing. Graduates must meet all legal requirements for licensure as established by the State Board of Nursing in order to be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) for licensure as a registered nurse (RN).
