The College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS) offers a professional program of study leading to the degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). The BSN program was approved by the Board of Regents of the State University System in 1982. The program is open to non-RN (basic/generic) and RN students.
Upon graduation, Basic (Generic BSN) students and Foreign-Educated Physician - BSN students are eligible to write the NCLEX (RN licensing examination) to become registered nurses. The College also offers a track for registered nurses to complete the BSN degree. To accommodate the adult learner, nursing courses in the curriculum may be offered web enhanced or completely online. Graduates of the BSN program are eligible for masters level study.
