Occupational Therapy is a health care profession that works with people
to help them be able to participate in their daily activities (occupations) at
home, school, work, and play. Occupational Therapy addresses the person, what
the person wants and needs to do, and the person's environment.

Occupational Therapists work with children and adults who may be at
risk for or having difficulty with participation in daily activities of living
including play, work, education, and leisure. Occupational Therapists use their
knowledge of healthy lifestyles and daily activities; creativity; and problem-solving
abilities to help individuals fully participate in life.

An Occupational Therapist can work in school systems, rehabilitation
centers, long term care facilities, hospitals, mental health facilities, home
care and community centers.
