Introduction
Oceanography at Florida Tech is all about diving in. Students get their feet wet in specialized oceanography courses, then delve deeper by collecting and analyzing oceanographic data using high-tech marine research vessels and instrumentation. Oceanography majors choose one of five concentrations--biological oceanography, chemical oceanography, coastal zone management, marine environmental science, or physical oceanography. Erosion, flooding, tsunami inundation, and red tides are just some of the problems that will be solved by oceanographers.
