Mission:
Centenary is a selective liberal arts college offering undergraduate programs and a limited number of graduate programs in the arts, humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences, which strengthen the foundation for students' personal lives and career goals. Students and faculty work together to build a community focused on ethical and intellectual development, respect and concern for human and spiritual values, and the joy of creativity and discovery. The Theatre and Dance Department offers a curriculum to serve three types of students: those who plan to attend graduate school, those who plan to teach, and those who plan to pursue a career in the profession or to use their training for vocational recreation.
The Theatre and Dance Department provides cultural enrichment for the College and the community through its production schedule, representing a "Theatre With A Purpose" Participation in the productions of the department is open to any student enrolled at Centenary College.
This degree is designed for students who want to pursue a career in performing arts. Prospective candidates must audition and demonstrate a strong potential in one of the three areas of concentration: acting, dance, or music, in order to be accepted.
