Barry University Bachelor degree Photography (BA)

Barry University's undergraduate photography program is designed to immerse you in the field. While many other schools offer an Art degree with supplemental photography courses, we feel that a dedicated degree Photography will offer you a greater depth of knowledge and experience. You will have the opportunity to focus solely on photography, or elect more art courses if you wish to add a more diversified education in other mediums. You can choose between a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) or a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA).
The Bachelor of Arts degree is less extensive than a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, but still contains essential photography core courses. This option is for students with a strong interest in photography and a desire to minor or double-major in another subject area. This enables you to tailor your academic career to fit your interests. It consists of at least thirty-nine credits of photography courses.
Both the BFA and BA are part of the College of Arts and Sciences. This means that you will choose from additional liberal arts courses in other subject areas (such as Communication, Computer Science, English, Math, Psychology, and Sociology, to name a few) to provide a well-rounded and versatile education. Your academic advisor will help you identify the classes that would most interest and benefit you.
