About the program
The Physical Education & Health program offers three emphasis areas for its students to concentrate: Sports Medicine is designed to serve as the pre-professional course of study for athletic training, sports medicine, physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, or physiology of exercise; students choosing the Teaching emphasis must also minor in Education and upon graduation are eligible to become certified to teach Physical Education at elementary and secondary levels; and Exercise Science, an emphasis area designed for the student who wishes to prepare for certification by the American College of Sports Medicine as a health fitness instructor or a clinical exercise specialist.
