Students interested in pursuing a degree in nursing after Centre should expect to take courses in biology, chemistry, and physics. Labs will be an integral part of the required course work as well. Centre students are fortunate to have access to lab equipment that is only available to graduate students at other colleges. In addition, Centre offers internships with local medical facilities and other science-related environments. Centre provides guidance in applying to nursing programs, including the Second Degree B.S.N., after Centre. However, Centre does not offer the B.S.N. degree.
This is an exciting and interesting time to be in nursing. The critical shortage of both practitioners and educators has lead to a variety of options for those interested in the profession. Jobs are abundant nationwide in a wide range of settings, with many opportunities for growth.
