The Refrigeration Air Conditioning program provides instruction in air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration. Introductory courses in electricity, electric motors, and theory of refrigeration are included. Advanced work in the commercial area includes work on reach-in and walk-in units found in stores, dairies, and markets. Other areas of study include uses of air conditioning, temperature and humidity control, air circulation, cleaning, installation, and troubleshooting of equipment. Students are required to provide their own basic tools, and to take a national exit exam which will give passing students national recognition on an A.R.I. (Air Conditioning Refrigeration Institute) National
Registry, which goes to Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning employers.
