The Science, Technology, and Society (STS) Program provides a foundation in the technical and social fields needed to study this crucial area in conjunction with a primary divisional program such as biology, anthropology, or music. STS allows for study in a number of fields that span the academic divisions—such as nonfiction science writing, history and philosophy of science, or developmental economics and technology—and promotes scholarship that critically confronts the key issues raised by science and technology in our time.
