The Bachelor Social Work program (BSW) prepares students for entry-level generalist social work practice in Arizona's ethnically diverse population. Through small classes, students acquire the knowledge and skills to work effectively with individuals, families, organizations, and communities. Students will start by taking classes in foundational classes, including introductory social work classes, then take courses in the social work major during the junior and senior years. In the senior year, students will put their studies to practice by taking part in a field practicum. In addition to assessment and intervention skills, students learn about ethical practice and culturally sensitive practice.
