Sociologists utilize a range of research methodologies to study such varied aspects of social life as the family, crime, gender, race and ethnicity, and religion and values in everyday life.
The sociology major is designed to prepare graduates for career opportunities in social work, politics, law, criminal justice, counseling and other service professions.
