MUST INCLUDE SPAN 301 and either SPAN 305 or SPAN 306.
With departmental permission, courses taken abroad may replace courses from
this sequence.
NOTES:
(a) Students whose placement test results exempt them from courses at the 200-
level must fulfill the eight unit requirement beginning at the 300-level. These
students do not receive credit for 201 or 202.
(b) Only one unit of Advanced Placement credit can count toward a major.
(c) All foreign language majors are required to study at least one semester
abroad
in an approved off-campus program AND have at least one semester of
residence in the Gerstacker International House.
(d) FL 345 Students who will be teaching Foreign Languages at the elementary
or
secondary level are encouraged to take this course.
