Bachelor degrees in Ancient + Classical Greek Language and Literature: A program that focuses on the Greek language and literature from its origins through the fall of the Byzantine (Eastern Roman) Empire, as a secular and/or theological subject. Includes instruction in Greek philology, Attic dialects, Hellenistic dialects, Koine (Biblical) Greek, and Medieval or Byzantine Greek.
A concentration in ancient Greek requires a minimum of ten courses. The
requirements are as follows:
CAS CL 101 or CL 321
-eight courses from the offerings under ancient Greek above
-CAS CL 167
-one additional Classical Studies course, at the 400 level or higher, in either a classical language or a topic in classical civilization or history
Up to two courses in Byzantine or modern Greek above CAS CG 112 may
be used to fulfill the requirements....
