The program is designed to prepare a student for a career in the area of environmental chemistry. It provides the necessary preparation in chemistry to enable a student to perform essential laboratory analysis while broadening the base of knowledge to include course work in a related discipline (biology or earth science).
The degree is designed for those individuals seeking a BS degree with a major in chemistry followed by a year of clinical study at a cooperating hospital. A degree in chemistry with a medical technology emphasis is awarded at the completion of the clinical year.
