All majors must complete LC 212 or LJ 212, or demonstrate equivalent proficiency in one of the languages of East Asia — Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Korean, or Cantonese. Other languages, such as Vietnamese, Bahasa Malay, or Tagalog, may be used to satisfy the language requirement if appropriate to the student's academic program.
