Family Consumer Sciences Education, is offered in cooperation with the School of Education. Graduates may pursue careers in family life, child and adolescent development, government, social service agencies, teaching, or private businesses that specialize in goods and services for the family.
This program prepares graduates to teach family consumer sciences classes in public or private schools. The focus of these classes in schools today is on family roles, child development, life skills, consumer rights and responsibilities, and community contributions.
