Bachelor degrees in French Studies: A program that focuses on the history, society, politics, culture, and economics of France, other Francophone countries inside and outside Europe, and the French colonial experience and the associated French minorities around the world.
The BA in Language and Area Studies is designed for students with a strong
interest in a region of the world and in a language of that region. The program,
jointly designed and administered by the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS)
and the School of International Service (SIS), builds on the strengths of the
CAS Department of Language and Foreign Studies (LFS) and the SIS field of Comparative
and Regional Studies.
Students must be approved by the department for formal admission to the major.
Language course work may be waived if high school or if other preparation so
warrants. Placement will be made in consultation with a departmental advisor. University Requirements

* Three credit hours of college mathematics or the equivalent by examination
