Bachelor degrees in History, General: A program that focuses on the general study and interpretation of the past, including the gathering, recording, synthesizing and criticizing of evidence and theories about past events. Includes instruction in historiography; historical research methods; studies of specific periods, issues and cultures; and applications to areas such as historic preservation, public policy, and records administration.
The major in History covers a broad spectrum of study including American, European and non-western cultures. Completion of this major
prepares students to seek admission to law school, graduate studies and governmental services.
Students must make at least a "C" grade in each course in the major field and collateral courses; the overall GPA must be at least a 2.00.
The emphasis of this program is on business problems and the processes of design and development of computer-based information systems.
