A degree in music education prepares the student for K–12 licensure as a public school music teacher with a choral emphasis. The degree program is a composite of music and education. The keyboard performance degree prepares students for professional work as performers and studio teachers. The degree includes a strong pedagogy emphasis, including supervised teaching.
