Bachelor degrees in Religion + Religious Studies: A program that focuses on the nature of religious belief and specific religious and quasi-religious systems. Includes instruction in phenomenology; the sociology, psychology, philosophy, anthropology, literature and art of religion; mythology; scriptural and textual studies; religious history and politics; and specific studies of particular faith communities and their behavior.

To graduate as a major in Religious Studies, a student must (1) complete with letter grades the program's three core courses, RELST 2250 Introduction to Asian Religions, RELST 2651 Holy War, Crusade and Jihad, and RELST 4449 History and Methods of the Academic Study of Religion; and (2) complete with letter grades seven additional courses approved for the major.
