Bachelor degrees in Religious Education: A program that focuses on the theory and practice of providing educational services to members of faith communities, within the context of a particular religion, and that prepares individuals to serve as religious educators. Includes instruction in planning and teaching lessons; organizing and supervising instructional activities; designing and developing instructional materials; and administering religious education programs and facilities.
The religion program combines classroom learning with field experience so the graduate is both intellectually equipped and practically trained in his/her profession.
Students may have the opportunity to participate in archaeological excavations in the Holy Land, internship programs, mission trips and other ministry activities.
The Religious Studies Department offers a wide range of courses in the world's religions and in approaches to studying them.
