Bachelor degrees in Sociology: A program that focuses on the systematic study of human social institutions and social relationships. Includes instruction in social theory, sociological research methods, social organization and structure, social stratification and hierarchies, dynamics of social change, family structures, social deviance and control, and applications to the study of specific social groups, social institutions, and social problems.

All candidates for the B.A. degree Sociology must complete:
1. At least thirty (30) semester hours in Sociology including 101, 404, 415, and an approved statistics course.
2. Fourteen of the minimum 30 hours in Sociology must be from courses numbered 300 or above. At least one of these classes must have a research laboratory.
3. One semester of Internship (120 hours) in a field setting.
