Bachelor degrees in Violin, Viola, Guitar and Other Stringed Instruments: A program that prepares individual to master a stringed instrument and performing arts as solo, ensemble and/or accompanist performers. Includes instruction in playing and personal style development.
To enter the Church Music major, the student is required to pass an audition in his chosen applied area. Audition appointments should be made with the Music Department chairperson prior to registration for the student's first semester. If the student is unable to audition on-site, the student may present a tape or CD for his audition. The student should present at least two pieces of contrasting style, classical or sacred, for his audition.
