Mission
The Bayamon Central University is an institution of higher education, which is of the Catholic faith, in the tradition of the Dominican Order, autonomous and not-for-profit. It offers academic courses and degrees, at the graduate and undergraduate levels, in the fields of the Liberal Arts, the sciences, professional careers and technology to young and adult students. As a Puerto Rican university community, the University is identified with the cultural values and the social redemption of the country, and at the same time it opens itself to brotherly and universal solidarity.
 
About this School
The Bayamon Central University —or Universidad Central de Bayamón (UCB) in Spanish— is a private, catholic, and non-profit university in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. It was founded in 1961 by the Dominican Order as a community college of the Catholic University of Puerto Rico (today known as the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico). The university became autonomous on September 1, 1970, and is currently accredited by the Council of Higher Education of Puerto Rico, the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and by the Congregation of Catholic Education.
