About this School
Capital University is a university of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America located in Bexley, Ohio, founded in 1830, that offers six schools of study: College of Arts and Sciences; School of Education, Social Work and Professional Studies; the Conservatory of Music; Law School; School of Management; and School of Nursing. Capital offers more than 80 majors. The university has adult degree programs in Columbus, Ohio; Cleveland, Ohio and Dayton, Ohio. Capital also has a professional development program in downtown Columbus. The university is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and is one of the largest Lutheran-affiliated universities in North America. 3,895 students enrolled in fall of 2004. 63% of the student body is female, and 77% are Caucasian. 15% are African American.
