About this School
Curry College is a four-year, mostly undergraduate liberal arts college located in Milton, Massachusetts, 7 miles from Boston. Its main campus in Milton, which includes the former Joan of Arc Academy, is joined by other Curry owned campuses in Plymouth, Worcester, two classroom locations at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, and the Medford Police Academy in Medford. The school was founded as the School of Elocution in 1879 by Anna Baright on Boston's Commonwealth Avenue. She was later joined and married by the school's namesake, Samuel Silas Curry, in 1882. Telephone inventor Alexander Graham Bell was the school's first chancellor.
