The Psy.D. in ABA develops expert knowledge in behavior analytic theory, research, and practice—equipping graduates to serve as head practitioners in both educational and clinical settings, leading efforts to address a range of issues including those related to developmental disabilities and behavioral health. Doctoral graduates will be prepared to contribute to research that further advances an integrated, scientific understanding of the complexities of human behavior.

  • 75-credit, post-masters doctoral degree program with four practicum experiences and two semester-long internships. Students may be eligible to waive or transfer up to 15 credits from previous graduate programs.
  • Three year full-time or five year part-time program.
  • Concentrations in instructional design, developmental disabilities, or supervision and consulting. Students without a BCBA complete a BCBA-approved course sequence that prepares them for the BCBA exam.

  • The only program of its kind in Northern Illinois.
  • Online and on-campus BCBA and Master’s of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis programs also offered.
