Input: M.S. in physics, engineering physics, engineering
Core Requirement: Student must have either
1. PH 601, 635, 655 plus 1 of PH 730, 735 or 755 and a 3 course
sequence in an engineering discipline (non PHYS courses)
2. or PH 600, 730, 735 and 755.
Note:
1. Requirement (1) reflects a strong engineering physics emphasis whereas
requirement (2) reflects a more traditional physics emphasis.
2. Requirements can be met either by graduate courses taken as part of the AFIT
Ph.D. program or by graduate courses taken as part of the student's M.S. program.
3. Core courses, excluding the 3 course engineering sequence, cannot be used
as part of the minor.
Education Codes: Meets the following for military quota students: 8HYY
and all subspecialties except 8HLY, nuclear physics, and 8HKY,
nuclear physics, effects.
