The Industrial Technologies Division offers eight areas of study including associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Some curricula are almost completely “hands-on” programs in shop or lab areas. Others are technology-based and require more class time preparation with some “hands-on” lab time. Some allow for cooperative work where the student works in a job related to his/her program of study and receives academic credit for the work experience.

The Diploma and Certificate programs offer courses of study which emphasize a “hands-on”approach to learning. A high percentage of the students’ time is spent in the shop or laboratory acquiring “know-why” aspects of education. These programs are usually one year in length.
They concentrate on the preparation of students for entry into the technical work force at a skilled level. Enough educational background is provided to allow the student to advance to positions of greater responsibility as he or she acquires on-the-job experience.
