The Paramedic Technology diploma program prepares students for employment in paramedic positions in today's health services field. The Paramedic Technology program provides learning opportunities that introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program provides opportunities to upgrade present knowledge and skills from the Emergency Medical Technician-Basic and the Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate levels to retrain as a paramedic. Graduates of the program receive a Paramedic Technology diploma and are eligible to sit for the paramedic certification test. High school graduation or GED is required for admission to this program.
