Harvard University First-Professional degree Landscape Architecture II: Master in Landscape Architecture II (MLA II), Postprofessional Degree:
The program leading to the Master in Landscape Architecture as a postprofessional degree is intended for individuals who have completed an undergraduate professional landscape architecture degree or its equivalent and who wish to pursue advanced professional study. The program seeks applicants whose abilities and academic and professional achievement suggest the potential for professional leadership.
The course of study extends the base of knowledge of the professional field through graduate study with a particular emphasis on the design of the physical environment. It provides those who have already demonstrated professional competence with the opportunity to advance their theoretical and analytical skills. A broad choice of studio options permits students to integrate material presented in lectures and seminars in landscape design and in related areas of study throughout the GSD. Students can select from a range of courses in design, history, theory, technology, applied natural sciences, plants, and professional practice. Students are encouraged to pursue special interests.
