About this School
Genesee Community College is a public community college with its main campus in Town of Batavia, New York, USA (near the City of Batavia ). It has branch campuses in Albion, Warsaw, Dansville, and Arcade. Thus, the college covers areas outside of Genesee County. This two-year college also offers housing facilities to out-of-area students, although the school is attended primarily by commuters. Two-year associate's degree programs and shorter-duration certificate programs are offered in the areas of business and commerce (including fashion merchandising management, hotel/hospitality management, and travel and tourism), computers and technology, creative arts, health care, human services, law and criminal justice, liberal arts, math and science (including engineering science and environmental studies), office technology and support, sports and physical education, and teaching and education. In 1999, Genesee Community College received the Robert F. Warren Award for innovation in campus mobility. In 2001, a SUNY student poll rated Genesee the 7th most attractive campus in the SUNY system.
