Immaculata University is a Catholic, comprehensive, coeducational institution of higher education sponsored by the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. About this School
Immaculata University is a Catholic university on King Road in Malvern, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1920 as Immaculata College, and has since expanded into a university. Immaculata University was founded by the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and the university is part of the greater IHM community, which includes the neighboring House of Studies and an academy for girls. The University admitted its first male class in the fall of 2005. Immaculata University is best known for its Music Program. Its history department is involved in researching the legend of Duffy's Cut. The history department has verified the legend through archival and archaeological research. The legend centers on a mass grave of Irish immigrants, which the history department is attempting to locate.
