About this School
Keene State College is an institution of the University System of New Hampshire along with the University of New Hampshire, Plymouth State University, and the Granite State College. Founded in 1909 as a teacher's college, today Keene State College has grown to 6,400 students, making it one of the larger colleges in New Hampshire, and comprises approximately 1/4 of the total population of the city of Keene, New Hampshire. Over the past ten years, Keene State College has earned a reputation as one of the more selective public liberal arts colleges in New England. Its beautiful campus, combined with its strong academic programs, offer students a "private" education at a public cost.
