Clinical Esthetician For those wishing to focus on achieving basic and advanced facial proficiency; the curriculum for students enrolled in this skin care course (45 QuarterCredit Hours, 45 weeks) includes technical instruction and practical operations covering all practices of an esthetician. Technical instruction means instruction by demonstration, lecture, classroom participation, or examination; practical operation is the actual performance by the student of a complete service on another person. California State Law requires a Minimum of 600 hours to be completed at a licensed beauty school to apply for an esthetician license. The curriculum goes beyond the basics to include practical and technical instruction covering use of advanced equipment, assessment techniques and product protocols for conditions such as acne, Rosacea, Hyperpigmentation and anti-aging. A student successfully completing the program is eligible to take the California licensing exam.
