The Commercial Cleaning program trains students for entry-level job positions in the institutional, hotel/motel and automotive cleaning fields.
General Entrance Requirements
Students must be able to follow oral instructions, identify signs, read labels and properly mix cleaning solutions. The ability to stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb, push, pull and lift 20 pounds is required.
Instructional Equipment
Instructional equipment includes, but is not limited to, laundry carts, cleaning carts, vacuums, mops, scrub brushes, beds, battery-operated power scrubbers, electric floor buffers, carpet sweepers, and car care equipment.
Employment Opportunities
Commercial Cleaners are employed at schools, hospitals, shopping malls, office complexes, banks, apartment buildings, car washes and other commercial facilities.
