Diesel Technology is a program designed to educate students for entry-level job placement upon high school graduation. This program also prepares students to go on to technical school to further improve on these skills.
In the Diesel Technology program the skills the students will cover are, preventative maintenance, disassemble and reassemble of engine and drive components, brake repair and diagnostics, engine electrical diagnostics, basic electrical diagnostics, air conditioning, and basic welding and cutting skills.
To further their skills the students have learned, they will have the access to technical colleges such as; Wyo-Tech, Nashville Auto Diesel college, Ohio Diesel Institute, University of Northwestern Ohio, and PA College of Technology.
With the training the students receive, they can find job opportunities in the following fields; truck technician, heavy equipment technician, fleet maintenance or manager, HVAC technician, service manager, and parts manager or clerk, also truck driving.
